Sylvan Dam Being Monitored
NOBLE COUNTY EMA: The Rome City Conservancy District is monitoring the Sylvan Lake water level and has issued a Level 3 Watch Event. This is a watch status. So what does this mean to us? Sylvan Lake dam procedures require a Level 3 watch be implemented when the water level reaches 10’6” — this means closely monitoring of the structure. Per Mick Newton, Noble County EMA Director “at 10.5’, the water is on the second weir and procedures require close monitoring of the structure.
